PAT Competent Person Course:
This is a one day course designed to equip you with the necessary practical skills and knowledge required to carry out PAT testing.
The course is based on the IET Code of Practice 5th edition including advice on the new risk-based approach to PAT testing. Our PAT testing course includes both theory and practical sessions Students gain practical experience through testing a wide variety equipment and will receive a Certificate of Competence upon completion of a practical assessment. No previous electrical knowledge or qualifications are required. This course is suitable for anyone looking to carry out the inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT testing) in the workplace. We cover the inspection and testing of all electrical equipment, from small portable appliances and IT equipment to industrial machinery. We provide a variety of test instruments for use during the course, but students are also welcome to bring their own test equipment to use.
